Dining Out For Life is a national event we’ve enjoyed supporting for the last 3 years. In short, the evening helps benefit HIV/AIDS organizations from funds raised by participating restaurants. In the Washington, DC area the organization you’ll be helping is Food and Friends.

Imagine that, you can support an organization by going out to dinner with friends. So far, 65 restaurants throughout the area have committed to donate a portion of the night’s proceeds to Food and Friends. Donations will range from 25% – 110% of the nightly revenue from participating restaurants. Additionally, each restaurant will have a representative from the organization present to share information with interested diners. After our recent volunteer experience, Dining Out For Life is a no-brainer.

April 28 will be here in no time, so it’s time to visit the list of participating restaurants and make plans now: http://www.foodandfriends.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1155931. After you’ve selecting a dining destination share your experiences with #DineOut and make sure to support others who are doing the same.

We hope you take the time to be part of such a great evening, and then make plans to volunteer with Food and Friends (named best place to volunteer and runner-up for best non-profit by Washington City Paper) soon!
