Hidden at the end of N. Royal Street in Alexandria, Bistrot Royal is no secret in the community. As we searched for a place to organize a happy hour, this classic French bistro did the trick.bistroroyale-14

Located in the former Bastille restaurant space, this cozy dining option is suitable for after-work drinks or a romantic evening out. For this visit, we were looking for a place to accommodate 15 of our friends, while also offering drink and food specials. Our group was immediately welcomed to the empty seats along the bar area where we sampled several beverages and charcuterie plates. While we were initially surprised to find so many open seats around the restaurant, it wasn’t long until the entire place was full.bistroroyale-12 bistroroyale-11 bistroroyale-15 bistroroyale-10 bistroroyale-9 bistroroyale-8 bistroroyale-7 bistroroyale-4 bistroroyale-3 bistroroyale-2 bistroroyale-1

Weekday happy hour is available Tuesday – Friday from 5:30 pm – 7 pm. Wine, beer, and other specials can be found on the menu to help you relax after a long day or even longer week. For us, the space was the idea place for us to catch up with friends. We’re always looking for new places to organize happy hours and I would encourage people to head North of King Street, the next time you’re looking for a new place.

We always love organizing these happy hours with friends and can’t wait to get together with everyone soon.

Has anyone been to Bistrot Royal or the sister restaurant, Bastille?

Cheers!
