Calling all winos or just those who enjoy the incredible events Washington, DC has to offer, Capture Wine Tour is coming to Dock 5 and Union Market on April 10-11. The 12 city celebration will showcase select winemakers who are producing some of the best wines you don’t know about, in addition to top chefs who are constantly changing the way we think about food.

Washington, DC has been named the first stop of the tour and already some of the area’s rising chefs are joining the ranks. Chef Matt Baker is no “Average Joe” when it comes to top of the line area restaurants. Before opening City Perch he held positions at Minibar, Brasserie Beck, and the grand Occidental Grill. Pairing perfectly with a wine event, Baker is also a Certified Sommelier. Joining with the news of Baker’s attendance is the announcement that Chef Michael Harr will also be joining in the fun. You likely know him from Food, Wine, & Co., City Burger, and Fish Taco. You’ll soon be enjoying his new DC concept which is being described as “seasonal American” cuisine.

With many small production wineries now opting to focus on direct sales to consumers commonly through tasting rooms, wine clubs, or other special events. Capture Wine Tour is bringing one of those such events to DC on April 10-11. If you love wine, this is an opportunity you can’t afford to miss!
